About the Company
Our client, a reputable Australian owned mining organisation, operates multiple mine sites across the Bowen Basin. This exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer position exists within their Head Office on a full-time permanent basis.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end payroll function. This includes providing necessary employee maintenance information to the outsource provider regarding new hires, current employees, and terminations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse payroll data including wages, salaries and bonuses
- Foster strong relationships with Site HR Teams and Clients
- Support the Payroll Team Leader in documenting processes
- Perform payroll maintenance and ensure data is accurate
- Conduct a thorough review of payroll for completeness and accuracy
- Perform duties as required, e.g. assist with super, wage garnishment
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess previous extensive payroll experience or accounts experience (3+ years desirable). SAP software experience is highly advantageous.

Estimated Salary Range: AU$65,000 - AU$85,000 per annum
