Senior Payroll Officer Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and professional Senior Payroll Officer to join our dedicated team at Perigon Group, committed to excellence in payroll management within the Community Services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate Payroll Processing: Manage and process payroll on time, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and Awards/Agreements.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the Payroll Manager and team to streamline payroll processes, enhancing efficiency and adherence to industry standards.
  • Confidentiality and Integrity: Maintain a high level of confidentiality, demonstrating empathy and respect in client services and team interactions.
  • Training and Development: Contribute to the ongoing training and development of payroll staff, supporting a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Documentation Management: Ensure all payroll-related documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with company policies and industry standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Payroll Experience: Strong experience in payroll operations, preferably with knowledge of Clerical Employees Award Level 4.
  • Communication Skills: High-level communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a team environment.
  • Organisational and Analytical Skills: Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with the capacity to manage workloads under strict deadlines.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and experience with payroll systems such as Preceda.
  • Certifications and Vaccinations: Current Police Screening Certificate and up-to-date vaccinations as per company policy.
