Payroll Administrator

At PeopleIN, we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our health and community payroll team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient calculation of employee hours across various awards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and apply complex award rules to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Verify manual and automated timesheets to ensure accuracy of invoicing.
- Process deductions for employees, including child support, Centrelink, union fees, and overpayments.
- Coordinate and confirm payroll processing to meet daily deadlines.
- Analyse payroll output to verify authenticity and accuracy.
- Update and maintain employee records, including leave, training, and enterprise agreements.
- Administer workers compensation payments and superannuation.
- Calculate termination pays, pay adjustments, and leave accruals.
- Resolve payroll queries and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll administration.
- Strong understanding of award interpretation and payroll processing.
- Aptitude for working with bulk data and payroll systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High competence with Microsoft Office and payroll software.
