About us
Established in 2006, headspace provides a one-stop shop for young people aged 12-25 and their families experiencing mental health difficulties.
Job responsibilities
The Allied Mental Health Practitioner will provide counselling services to young people under a Mental Health Care Plan through Medicare-funded items as a private provider.
Our experienced Access team will screen referrals, allocate clients based on clinical needs, and schedule appointments.
It's a condition of employment that appointees are contracted private practitioners with Alfred Health operating from the headspace Centre.
About you
You'll have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and registration (AHPRA or AASW).
- A provider number for bulk-billing to Medicare.
- Indemnity insurance to the value of $10 million.
- A current Victorian Driver's Licence.
- A current working rights visa.
- Satisfactory completion of a Police Check and Working with Children Check.
Compensation and benefits
Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
