About the Role

In this autonomous position, you will have the opportunity to excel in a true generalist HR function, delivering tailored HR solutions and people improvement initiatives within a portfolio of aged care centers and on a national level.

Your responsibilities will include implementing people initiatives and programs developed by our Centres of Excellence (CoE) in a consistent, timely, and effective manner.

You will:

  • Build strong teams, serving as a coach and mentor, influencing employee relations and driving a positive culture;
  • Coach leaders to effectively and consistently manage and take full accountability for people decisions;
  • Support the continued development of people management capability of leaders by providing the information and tools they need and where necessary support them in their application;
  • Provide advice to managers in the resolution of team issues including performance management, grievances, investigations, role changes and remuneration reviews;
  • The position will be located in Redfern, Sydney, with some interstate and local travel required.
About You

You are tertiary qualified in Human Resources or a related field and can demonstrate at least 6 years of Human Resources Generalist experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing HR tasks in fast-paced environments with over 200 staff, and will be resilient, capable of handling conflicting priorities, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, able to build credible, trusting, and respectful relationships at all levels, and work collaboratively to deliver solutions;
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and persuasion skills;
  • Able to effectively and creatively challenge people, situations, and current thinking;
  • Experience in planning and implementation of organisational change and leading strategic people change initiatives;
  • Able to work independently and deliver to agreed deadlines with a results-driven approach;
  • Ability to think on your feet, solve problems, and implement solutions;
  • Ability to work under pressure and conflicting priorities;
  • Strong commercial orientation;
  • Multi-site experience and WorkDay HRIS experience is an advantage;
  • Driver's license.
