About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our team at Hilton Hotels. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating innovative and contemporary desserts that exceed our guests' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute creative dessert menus that showcase the latest trends and demands in the restaurant and events industry.
  • Ensure that all desserts are prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and safety.
  • Contribute to a safe, happy, and productive work environment by maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety protocols, and promoting a positive team culture.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to control costs, manage inventory, and optimize menu offerings.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in the pastry kitchen, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Act as a Work, Health, and Safety ambassador, promoting a culture of safety and well-being within the team.
Requirements
  • Australian working rights (no sponsorship needed).
  • Preferably based in the Perth Metropolitan Area.
  • A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated previous experience in a similar role.
  • A current, valid, and relevant trade patisserie qualification.
  • Knowledge of current food trends and a passion for innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
