Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to the Principal on the business of the school.
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day and strategic operations of the school business.
  • Oversee the financial and facilities management of the school.
  • Develop and implement business plans and strategies to achieve school objectives.
  • Manage and develop support and administration staff to meet business objectives.
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of the school.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislative requirements and ACT Education Directorate policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Qualification or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in a business-related role and financial qualifications and/or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Xero and Sentral systems.
  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • First Aid qualification.
  • Commitment to a high level of cultural integrity and cultural competency.

Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration

A current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required prior to commencing this role.

Asbestos Awareness Card

An asbestos awareness card or a willingness to obtain Asbestos Awareness Training and evidence of completion delivered by a Registered Training Organisation is required before commencement.
