Job Description

Job Title: Director of Clinical Training and Education

Job Summary:

The Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Clinical Training and Education to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Intern Education Training Program (IETP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the IETP to align with postgraduate medical education body and Intern Accreditation standards.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Medical Education Units (MEUs) to ensure the delivery of high-quality medical education and training programs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address gaps in medical education and training, and develop strategies to improve the quality of medical education and training.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including medical education bodies, hospitals, and health services.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on medical education and training matters to the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service.

Requirements:

  • Registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Specialist registration with the AHPRA for at least three (3) years.
  • A sound knowledge of the AMC WBA program and experience and achievement in teaching in the medical domain.
  • A qualification in adult education and experience in developing and implementing online education modules (desirable).
