About the Role:

The Queensland University of Technology is seeking a skilled and motivated Casual Scientific/Technical Officer to join the Simulation Learning team in Technical Services. This role will support learning and teaching across the nursing and paramedicine disciplines in the Faculty of Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Collaborate with the Simulation Learning team to deliver high-quality educational experiences for students.">
  • Support the development and maintenance of simulation scenarios, including creating realistic patient simulations and scenario scripts.">
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting for simulation equipment and software.">
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of simulation sessions, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.">
  • Maintain accurate records of simulation activities, including participant feedback and evaluation data.">
  • Foster strong relationships with academic staff, students, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of simulation-based learning into curricula.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Bachelor degree in an area relevant to nursing or paramedicine, or an Associate Diploma level qualification with at least two years subsequent relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, or training.">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.">
  • Ability to effectively organise and prioritise work in order to meet deadlines and competing priorities.">
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills, including the ability to contribute to continuous improvement.">
  • High-level digital literacy skills, including Microsoft Office and relevant equipment-specific software, or the ability to quickly acquire these skills.">
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support classes.">
