About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Chef to lead a culinary journey that delights our globe-trotting visitors and inspires their team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for daily hands-on food preparation and execution of innovative menus tailored to meet evolving guest needs.

You will collaborate with service teams to ensure seamless delivery of quality food and exceptional guest experiences, manage ordering and stock to keep the kitchen humming efficiently, oversee rostering and wage costs to maintain operational excellence, and lead performance and development of your kitchen brigade, nurturing talent and fostering growth.

In addition to these core responsibilities, you will champion a positive team culture in a diverse, inclusive, and supportive environment, upholding health and safety standards to ensure a safe and professional kitchen space.

We are looking for a culinary leader who is not just skilled in the kitchen but thrives on building strong teams and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

We're seeking a candidate with proven experience as a Sous Chef or hands-on Head Chef, with a track record of developing, motivating, and leading kitchen teams. Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster positive working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and service staff are also essential.

A relevant culinary qualification, including a strong working knowledge of HACCP principles, is required. Food Safety Supervisor certification is also necessary under South Australian legislation, ensuring compliance and upholding the highest standards of food safety.

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle high-volume workloads and meet tight deadlines, are also critical. A flexible and resilient mindset, ready to tackle challenges head-on and adapt in a fast-paced hospitality environment, is a must.
