Lead Kitchen Specialist Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will oversee a dynamic kitchen environment, ensuring seamless food preparation and exceptional culinary standards. Your key responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, guaranteeing high-quality dishes, and maintaining thorough inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning and direction of food preparation and culinary activities in conjunction with the Executive Chef.
  • Coordinate the kitchen team during food preparation and service, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to meet hotel quality standards, showcasing attention to detail and expertise.
  • Monitor kitchen operations to maintain consistency in food quality, freshness, and presentation.
  • Develop junior kitchen staff through training, mentorship, and hands-on guidance.
  • Guarantee adherence to essential food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
  • Effectively manage kitchen inventory, controlling costs and optimizing resources.
  • Contribute to menu development and cost analysis, incorporating industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • A degree in culinary arts or equivalent is mandatory for this position.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least two years in a supervisory or management capacity, is required.
  • Previous experience in high-end restaurants or premium hotels is highly desirable.
  • Banquets experience is strongly preferred.
