Lead Culinary Team Member

We are seeking an experienced Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and motivating kitchen teams, with excellent communication skills and the ability to foster positive working relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily food preparation and execution of innovative menus tailored to meet evolving guest needs.
  • Collaborate with service teams to ensure seamless delivery of quality food and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Manage ordering and stock to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Oversee rostering and wage costs to maintain operational excellence.
  • Lead performance and development of your kitchen brigade, nurturing talent and fostering growth.
  • Champion a positive team culture in a diverse, inclusive, and supportive environment.
  • Uphold health and safety standards to ensure a safe and professional kitchen space.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with a passion for food and a hunger to grow. They will thrive in fast-paced environments and be committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or hands-on Head Chef, with a track record of developing, motivating, and leading kitchen teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster positive working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and service staff.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications, including a strong working knowledge of HACCP principles.
  • Food Safety Supervisor certification, as required under South Australian legislation.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle high-volume workloads and meet tight deadlines.
  • A flexible and resilient mindset, ready to tackle challenges head-on and adapt in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
