Job Description:

The Meat & Wine Co in Adelaide is seeking an experienced and passionate culinary leader to join their team as a Sous Chef.

As a key member of the kitchen team, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth daily operation of the kitchen. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining quality and consistency during service
  • Supervising and mentoring team members
  • Coordinating and leading prep work
  • Upholding food safety and hygiene standards

We are looking for someone with:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a senior culinary role in a high-volume environment
  • A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
  • Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Experience cooking over flames or on a char grill
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities
  • Initiative and independence, with the ability to foster a positive team culture
  • Excellent presentation, organizational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards
  • Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster
