Care Assistant for Individuals with Disabilities

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Disability Support Worker to provide care and support to individuals with Autism, ADHD and mild Intellectual Disability.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the life of our client by providing safe and supportive environment, assisting with medication and daily routines, and implementing behaviour support strategies.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one constant supervision and support daily routines
- Assist with medication and daily living activities
- Implement behaviour support strategies to promote positive outcomes
- Encourage participation in fun activities such as yoga, exercise, swimming, music, and dance
Shifts and Availability:
- Morning shift: 6:00 am – 9:30 am
- Afternoon shift: 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Sleepover: 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm (sleepover)
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in Behaviour Support
- Background supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, and mild Intellectual Disability
- Trained in medication assistance
- Understanding of mental health support
Benefits:
- E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax): Base hourly rate: $35.15
- Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $38.67
- Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $39.37
- Saturday: $49.21
- Sunday: $63.27
- Public holiday: $77.33
