We're seeking a Strategic Facilities Leader to play a vital role in shaping the future of Transurban's workplaces.

As our key representative, you'll drive strategic direction and facilitate delivery of workplace strategies that meet current and future needs.

This role oversees Australian operations, while providing functional guidance to the North American operation, aiming for global standards.

You'll join an innovative team focused on continuous improvement and better ways to do things.

In this meaningful and challenging role, you'll contribute to lasting changes that impact cities and communities positively.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing strategy for the Facilities Management Services function
  • Lead, develop, and coach a capable team to roll out business-as-usual and longer-term processes and strategies
  • Identify areas to streamline and automate business processes, partnering with the technology team to leverage technologies for seamless user experiences
  • Represent the facilities function across the business, establishing best practice standards and bringing everyone along on the journey
  • Ensure safety is always top priority by providing safe, clean, and operational facilities compliant with local laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar Senior Facilities Management role, ideally across multiple sites within a corporate environment
  • Experience overseeing a complex portfolio of owned and leased buildings, facilities management, consolidation projects, and contract management, including managing large teams of contractors
  • Sound knowledge of various codes and HSE regulations
  • Enjoy problem-solving, thrive in fast-paced environments, and have experience delivering long-term strategic objectives
  • Ability to prioritise, delegate, and remain calm in a crisis; willingness to get hands dirty to resolve situations
