
Administrative Coordinator Policy Development

This role involves providing administrative and secretariat support to the Multicultural Queensland Advisory Council and other boards as required.
Responsibilities will include arranging travel, end-to-end planning and coordination of meetings, managing member remuneration, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, reporting on budget and performance, and responding to council member needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative and secretariat support to the Multicultural Queensland Advisory Council and other boards as required;
- Arrange travel, plan and coordinate meetings, manage budgets and member remuneration;
- Liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders;
- Maintain accurate records, report on budget and performance, and respond to council member needs;
- Contribute to the development of briefing materials and meeting papers;
- Undertake policy research and analysis, provide advice on policy issues, and prepare timely and well-researched briefings and correspondence;
- Engage with state government departments, other levels of government and the non-government sector, and key community stakeholders, to identify and respond to emerging issues and communicate government positions;
- Contribute to the delivery of policy forums, inter-agency meetings, and consultative processes;
- Support strategic planning, communication and engagement functions, share knowledge and information, and work collaboratively with colleagues.
The successful candidate will have opportunities to develop positive relationships and engage with a range of stakeholders, contribute to policy research and analysis, and participate in the delivery of policy forums and consultative processes.
