About the Position
  • We are looking for a highly skilled Specialist in Geriatric Medicine to lead our multidisciplinary team and shape the future of geriatric care.

This is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact, drive service innovation, and advance your career. You will work closely with our Clinical Director to develop and implement strategies that improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth geriatric care, including GEM units, Orthogeriatrics, RACF outreach, and specialist clinics.
  • Deliver medical leadership as Clinical Lead, supporting advanced trainees, registrars, and junior doctors.
  • Partner with the Clinical Director to drive service innovation and development.

Selection Criteria – Essential:

  • Specialist Registration: Qualified medical practitioner registered (or eligible for registration) as a Specialist in Geriatric Medicine with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Fellowship: Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Geriatric Medicine, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Experience: Proven 7+ years of clinical experience as a Geriatric Medicine Specialist, with demonstrated capacity to manage clinical, non-clinical, and managerial responsibilities.
