Senior Consultant Physician/Clinical Lead in Geriatric Medicine

This is a leadership opportunity to shape the future of geriatric medicine in a state-of-the-art hospital and supportive, multidisciplinary team.

We are seeking an expert Senior Consultant Physician/Clinical Lead to provide innovative care, lead clinical teams, and drive service innovation in our Geriatric Medicine department.

As Clinical Lead, you will partner with senior medical leaders to deliver high-quality patient care, develop education programs, and promote workforce development.

About the Role
  • You will work closely with the Clinical Director to innovate and improve geriatric medicine services, including GEM units, Orthogeriatrics, RACF outreach, and specialist clinics.
  • Your key responsibilities will include delivering high-quality medical care, providing mentorship to junior doctors, and driving education and clinical governance initiatives.
  • You will also contribute to workforce development, including education and training programs for advanced trainees and registrars.
Requirements
  • A qualified medical practitioner registered (or eligible for registration) as a Specialist in Geriatric Medicine with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Geriatric Medicine or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Proven 7+ years of clinical experience as a Geriatric Medicine Specialist, with demonstrated capacity to manage clinical, non-clinical, and managerial responsibilities.
