Geriatric Medicine Clinical Lead Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Specialist in Geriatric Medicine to take on a clinical leadership role and contribute to the development of our service.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of geriatric medicine, working within a state-of-the-art hospital and a supportive multidisciplinary team.

  • Provide expert inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth geriatric care, including GEM units, Orthogeriatrics, RACF outreach, and specialist clinics.
  • Deliver medical leadership as Clinical Lead, supporting advanced trainees, registrars, and junior doctors.
  • Partner with the Clinical Director to drive innovation, including Geri-Connect, GEM@Home, and the RADAR service.
  • Play a key role in education, clinical governance, and workforce development.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A qualification as a Specialist in Geriatric Medicine with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Geriatric Medicine or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Proven 7+ years of clinical experience as a Geriatric Medicine Specialist with demonstrated capacity to manage clinical, non-clinical, and managerial responsibilities.
