Geriatric Medicine Specialist - Clinical Lead Role

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Geriatric Medicine Specialist to join our team in a clinical lead role. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth geriatric care.

Your responsibilities will include delivering medical leadership as Clinical Lead, supporting advanced trainees, registrars, and junior doctors. You will also partner with the Clinical Director to drive service innovation, including Geri-Connect, and the new RADAR (Rapid Assessment of the Deteriorating Aged at Risk) service.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Specialist Registration: Qualified medical practitioner registered (or eligible for registration) as a Specialist in Geriatric Medicine with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Fellowship: Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Geriatric Medicine, or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Experience: Proven 7+ years of clinical experience as a Geriatric Medicine Specialist, with demonstrated capacity to manage clinical, non-clinical, and managerial responsibilities
