The Specialist Family Violence Practitioner (CALD) will be an integral member of the family violence team, providing high-quality support to women and children experiencing family violence across the Bayside Peninsula Region.
About the Job:- Deliver high quality support to women and children experiencing family violence
- Conduct thorough risk and needs assessments with women and children experiencing family violence
- Coordinate a comprehensive family violence response that is child-focused, developmentally appropriate, and culturally safe
- Ensure service delivery addresses the unique risks, needs and impact of trauma posed by family violence to women and children from a CALD background
- Provide specialist family violence response to women and children who are/have experienced family violence
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline is essential
- Proven experience in using MARAM to assess risk, needs and protective factors of women and children is necessary
- Experience working with women and children presenting with complex needs and behaviours is crucial
- Ability to prepare written reports and maintain records is vital
