Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Couple and Family Counsellor to join our team. As a counsellor, you will work with clients to address relationship issues, using a Family Systems Framework.

  • Provide high-quality counselling and therapy to couples, families, and individuals
  • Address critical matters impacting relationships, including conflict, communication, domestic violence, mental health, addiction issues, and child-protection
  • Use a Family Systems Framework in counselling and provide information and referrals to improve client wellbeing

Our ideal candidate will have experience working with couples and families, as well as relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, or equivalent. Post-grad qualifications or training in Counselling or Couple and Family Therapy is also highly desirable.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with couples and families using a robust Family Systems clinical framework is required
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, or equivalent
  • Post-grad qualifications or training in Counselling or Couple and Family Therapy
  • Strong understanding of family dynamics, child protection, domestic violence, mental health, and addiction
  • Calm, professional, and compassionate approach when engaging with clients
  • Registered or eligible to be registered with PACFA or ACA
