Occupational Therapist Opportunity

Join a multidisciplinary team working with families and children aged 0-2 years. Provide clinical governance, leadership, and expertise within occupational therapy services.

  • The successful applicant will provide safe, timely, compassionate, and high-quality person-centered care to vulnerable families in need of early intervention and sustained home visiting services.
  • Utilize professional autonomy while being backed by regular clinical supervision, debriefing, and strong team support to ensure effective communication and engagement with clients/consumers, carers, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Demonstrate advanced clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist working within a Paediatric setting, with a focus on community-based services designed to improve and maintain the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities across South Western Sydney.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert-level occupational therapy services to children and families in need.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients and their families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of program strategies and policies that promote best practices in occupational therapy.
Requirements:
  • Recognized degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Advanced clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist working within a Paediatric setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide safe, compassionate, quality care that is culturally responsive.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with clients/consumers, carers, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
