Family Therapy Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of patients and families. As a Family Therapist, you will work in a dynamic environment providing comprehensive care across all divisions of mental health nursing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care for patients with acute and chronic mental health needs.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care.
  • Support patients and families in decision-making, advocacy, and discharge planning.
  • Supervise and mentor staff as required.

You will be working in varied settings, providing case management, planning patient care, administering medication, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining accurate documentation.

As a Family Therapist, you will experience a range of meaningful roles across Australia's mental health care landscape, from community outreach to acute interventions.

Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA without restrictions.
  • A minimum of 3 years in mental health nursing (for Counsellor position) or 5 years in mental health nursing (for Locum position).
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
