Family Therapy Position

We are seeking a qualified Family Therapist to join our team in providing family-inclusive practice for positive mental health outcomes. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality family therapy and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team.

About the Role:
  • Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver systemic or structural family therapy models to repair and strengthen family relationships.
  • Collaborate with our Early Psychosis team to support young people aged 12–25 and their families.
  • Work with various family structures, such as parents and young people, whole families, or parent-focused interventions.
  • Support families while ensuring the young person remains the primary focus of care.
  • Address family relationship ruptures, manage family dynamics, and encourage effective coping strategies.
  • Assist families in understanding and addressing their concerns while promoting healthy communication.
About You:
  • Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, or counselling.
  • Current full registration with relevant professional associations.
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated experience engaging with families and parents for the best interests of young people.
  • Experience delivering family therapy models and identifying/manage risk, including child protection issues.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and writing skills.
