Job Overview

CatholicCare's Permanency Support Program implements the Intensive Therapeutic Care model to support vulnerable children and young people.

The ITC House Supervisor coordinates daily operations of the intensive therapeutic care house, providing strengths-based solutions-focused supervision, support, and mentoring to Youth Workers.

Key Duties:
  • Supervising daily operations of the intensive therapeutic care house
  • Providing supervisory support and guidance to Youth Workers
  • Managing finances, administration, client records, and reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with incident management and organisational obligations under mandatory reporting, child protection, safeguarding, and WHS requirements

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or Social Welfare, including electives on trauma
  • Relevant Diploma and Graduate Certificate in Developmental Trauma, Statutory Child Protection, or Client Intervention and Case Management
  • 3 years' direct experience working with vulnerable children and young people in an out-of-home care environment
  • 2 years' experience leading a small team using contemporary approaches
  • Well-developed understanding of Out of Home Care Services, Intensive Therapeutic Care, and child protection
  • Ability to manage crisis situations and make sound decisions under pressure
