Clinical Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Compliance Specialist to support our team in ensuring the efficient monitoring of compliance functions and the implementation of various quality-related initiatives.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking audits against accreditation standards related to residential aged care, working collaboratively with the Chief Quality and Risk Officer to identify areas for continuous improvement, and developing projects to support quality and compliance.
The role involves assisting and supporting the Chief Quality and Risk Officer in the development and implementation of best practice policy and process, maintaining a high level working knowledge of electronic clinical support systems, and developing and maintaining documented evidence of the organisation's Quality Management Systems across all sites.
You will also be responsible for risk identification and mitigation, trending and analysis, preparation for external regulator visits including reaccreditation, assistance with gap analysis and on-site support, education including quality-related education as required by facility or state, and oversight and support of clinical practice/medication practice.
Additionally, you will be required to attend internal and external meetings as needed, attendance at announced/unannounced commission visits as needed, care manager support, orientation of new management team members, understanding, complying with, and reporting in line with the Serious Incident Reporting Scheme (SIRS), and overseeing facilities to ensure compliance that is delivered within the framework of Respect's policies and procedures, legislative requirements, and meet the relevant service standards.
Requirements- A successful completion of a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- A high level ability to utilise information management and computer systems.
- A working knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards, Specified Care and Service Principles of the Aged Care Act, Documentation Standards, Residents Rights, Aged Care Funding Instrument, and other relevant legislation, regulations, and codes of practices.
- Sound communication skills.
- NDIS Worker Screening certification.
- A formal qualification in quality management frameworks.
