About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at MedHealth Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of clients and provide individualized rehabilitation plans to support their return to health and return to work outcomes;
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents;
  • Work collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Provide education and support to clients and employers on workplace modifications, return to work strategies, and injury prevention techniques;
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers and other stakeholders to promote the benefits of occupational rehabilitation and support the return to work process;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in occupational rehabilitation to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, or Physiotherapy;
  • Registration with either AHPRA or ESSA plus SIRA Accreditation;
  • Previous experience working in occupational rehabilitation or a related field;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, employers, and other stakeholders;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans;
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
