About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at MedHealth Group. As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals with various conditions, both physical and psychological, to achieve return to health and work outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational rehabilitation services to clients with various conditions, including physical and psychological injuries
  • Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Collaborate with injured workers, employers, and health professionals to achieve return to work outcomes
  • Conduct various assessments using clinical skills to support treatment plans and identify suitable employment opportunities
  • Manage caseloads and provide support to Rehabilitation Assistants as needed

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences, or Rehabilitation Counselling
  • General or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors ASORC or Rehabilitation Counselling Association of Australia RCAA as a Rehabilitation Counsellor
  • Previous experience in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry is highly regarded
  • Excellent communication skills, compassion, kindness, and empathy
  • Strong time management skills
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to a car with comprehensive insurance is required
