About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients and provide individualized rehabilitation plans to support their return to health and return to work outcomes.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
  • Collaborate with employers, employees, medical and allied health professionals to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Work across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.
  • Provide education and support to clients, employers, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of health and safety in the workplace.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences, or Rehabilitation Counselling.
  • General or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors ASORC or Rehabilitation Counselling Association of Australia RCAA as a Rehabilitation Counsellor.
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded.
  • Fabulous communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, employers, and other stakeholders.
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathy are essential qualities for this role.
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must.
