About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at MedHealth Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of clients, providing individualized support and guidance to help them achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
  • Collaborate with employers, employees, medical professionals, and allied health professionals to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments, to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
  • Develop and implement effective case management plans, working closely with clients, employers, and other stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to clients, employers, and other stakeholders on injury prevention, workplace safety, and return to work strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and research in occupational rehabilitation, applying this knowledge to improve client outcomes and services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Exercise Physiology.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or registration with ESSA plus SIRA accreditation.
  • Previous experience working in the occupational rehabilitation industry, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, employers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop effective solutions.
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
