About The Role

We are currently seeking an Employee Support Specialist to support day-to-day operations and personnel onsite. This role will see you play a crucial part in fostering positive relationships and empowering staff.

This role is a permanent, full-time position, working Monday to Friday.

Your key duties will include:

  • Managing new personnel arrivals to site and mobilisation, e.g., inductions, site access, transport, accommodation.
  • Coordinating and managing the mobilisation of Pacific Labour Scheme (PLS) workers.
  • Transporting employees to clinics and appointments.
  • Resolving conflicts and addressing employee issues proactively.
  • Supporting onsite employee wellbeing through regular check-ins and follow-ups.
  • Educating and mentoring onsite employees on workplace operations.
  • Fostering relationships between clients and FIP Group employees.
  • Managing the onsite workforce, including employee onboarding, performance management, conduct-related matters, probationary checks, warnings, and terminations.
  • Escalating serious breaches or seeking guidance on desired outcomes from Internal HR.
  • Overseeing, managing, and reporting on employee retention and attendance.
  • Educating and coaching onsite employees and visitors on safe site practices.
  • Monitoring and reporting site safety and Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures.

This role requires occasional travel to Cowra and must be based within a 200 km radius of Mitolo.

About You

To excel in this position, you should be dedicated to delivering results and supporting onsite personnel. Your commitment to this role and fostering positive relationships is crucial to your success.

You should possess the following attributes:

  • People management experience
  • Intermediate computer literacy, including Microsoft Suite skills
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills
  • Exposure to human resources fundamentals; HR experience is desirable
  • A current, open driver's licence and reliable vehicle
  • High-level problem-solving skills
  • The ability and willingness to receive a Q-fever vaccination and complete a police check
  • Experience working with culturally diverse workforces is desirable

We offer a competitive salary for this role, estimated at $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
