About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Rail Track Technician to join our Operations team. As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail network.


Job Description


Rail Track Technicians carry out physical work to maintain ARTC's rail track, including preventative and reactive maintenance activities. This includes undertaking general labouring, track maintenance duties, safety protection work, visual inspections of ARTC's rail track, operating heavy machinery, welding, and other maintenance tasks while meeting ARTC standards.


Required Skills and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A current driver's license and proficiency in driving a manual car;
  • Computer proficiency - Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Good written and oral skills;
  • Ability to work in a team environment;
  • Past or present Rail Industry experience, specifically in track maintenance;
  • Current Rail Industry Competencies;
  • Track Safety Awareness (One Track) qualifications;
  • Construction industry induction (white card);
