Our Operations Team

We work with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains, spanning management responsibility across five states.

Our 8,500km rail network transports bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets.

The Operations teams operate within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia, delivering safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for customers, stakeholders and the community.

About the Opportunity

This role is responsible for ensuring the operational integrity and efficiency of a designated section of rail corridor, delivering work allocated by the Work Group Leader (Signals) or Area Manager.

  • Install, modify, maintain and repair signalling and communication equipment according to technical maintenance plans, signalling discipline standards, practices and safeworking procedures.
  • Examine and test signalling equipment in accordance with signalling standards, diagnose and isolate faults, and ensure that appropriate certificates are submitted.
  • Install and maintain mechanical signalling locking, and interlocking devices and Infrastructure and equipment.
What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a qualified Electrician with relevant trade or technical experience, knowledge of WHS principles and relevant rail safety legislation, experience in fault-finding, maintenance and repairs, written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment, and apply quality systems including policies and procedures.

We also value a customer service focus, current Class C drivers licence, ARTC Statement of Competency (Signals) or demonstrated ability to attain as per Signals Competency Assessment (EST-20-03), and preferably a Qualified Railway Signal Electrician.
