About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Signal Electrician to join our team in Maitland. As a Signal Electrician, you will be responsible for delivering work allocated by the Work Group Leader (Signals) or Area Manager to ensure the operational integrity and efficiency of a designated section of rail corridor.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, modify, maintain and repair signalling and communication equipment, in accordance with technical maintenance plans, signalling discipline standards, practices and safeworking procedures.
- Examine and test signalling equipment in accordance with signalling standards, diagnose and isolate faults, and ensure that appropriate certificates are submitted.
- Install and maintain mechanical signalling locking, and interlocking devices and Infrastructure and equipment.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician
- Relevant trade or technical experience
- Knowledge of or an awareness of WHS principles and relevant rail safety legislation
- Experience in fault-finding, maintenance and repairs
- Written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to apply quality systems including policies and procedures
- Customer service focus
- Current Class C drivers licence
- ARTC Statement of Competency (Signals) or demonstrated ability to attain as per Signals Competency Assessment (EST-20-03)
