About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Rail Infrastructure Specialist to join our Operations team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for carrying out physical work to maintain ARTC's rail track, including preventative and reactive maintenance activities, as well as undertaking minor construction for planned capital upgrades.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A current driver's licence and proficiency in driving a manual car are essential, along with computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain ARTC's rail track, performing general labouring duties, safety protection work, visual inspections, and operating heavy machinery.
  • Undertake welding and other maintenance tasks, ensuring high-quality outcomes that meet ARTC standards.
Requirements
  • Certificate III or IV in Engineering (Track Maintenance) or equivalent.
  • Current Rail Industry Competencies, including Track Safety Awareness (One Track) qualifications and Construction industry induction (white card).
  • Past experience in track maintenance within the rail industry, specifically in areas such as construction, manufacturing, or engineering.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently, meeting deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
