About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Signal Electrician to join our team at Australian Rail Track Corporation. As a Signal Electrician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the operational integrity and efficiency of our rail network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, modify, maintain, and repair signalling and communication equipment in accordance with technical maintenance plans, signalling discipline standards, practices, and safeworking procedures.
  • Examine and test signalling equipment in accordance with signalling standards, diagnose and isolate faults, and ensure that appropriate certificates are submitted.
  • Install and maintain mechanical signalling locking, and interlocking devices and infrastructure and equipment.

Requirements

  • Qualified Electrician
  • Relevant trade or technical experience
  • Knowledge of or an awareness of WHS principles and relevant rail safety legislation
  • Experience in fault-finding, maintenance, and repairs
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to apply quality systems including policies and procedures
  • Customer service focus
  • Current Class C drivers licence
  • ARTC Statement of Competency (Signals) or demonstrated ability to attain as per Signals Competency Assessment (EST-20-03)
