The Compliance Officer - Risk Assurance role is a key part of this vision, providing 2nd Line Compliance Assurance support to ensure that our controls meet regulatory requirements.

This position involves reviewing and assessing the effectiveness of controls, as well as conducting deep dive thematic reviews of non-financial risk controls end-to-end.

You will also be responsible for drafting report papers for senior stakeholders, including the Exco, Risk, and AML committees.

As a Regulatory Compliance Expert at ING, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization's compliance posture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and perform second-line quality assurance reviews on various compliance topics, including data privacy, conduct compliance, and KYC-related matters.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to present findings, identify areas for improvement, and track progress.
  • Support key deliverables across the Monitoring team, including developing reporting insights and ad-hoc projects.

What We're Looking For

  • Knowledge of Australian legal, regulatory, and industry code obligations.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in financial services, preferably in risk management, compliance, assurance, or audit.
  • Proven experience in researching, interpreting, and assessing compliance with applicable obligations.
  • Experience in control testing, assurance reviews, and identifying observations for improvement.
