This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Data Analyst and Risk Expert with KordaMentha, a leading company in Australia. The role involves helping clients manage risk, compliance, financial crime or regulatory challenges through data analysis and AI approaches.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will bring expertise in data sourcing, engineering, analytics methods and tools to the broader risk and transactions agenda.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise top-tier clients on complex business problems across diverse industries using data, cloud, analytics and AI technologies.
  • Play a key role in delivering large and complex projects while supporting sales initiatives within the business.
  • Design and deliver work streams, successfully managing project risks, and analyse and integrate complex data sets to provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with different service lines to identify business needs and devise data solutions, effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, model build and feature engineering in response to risk, compliance, financial crime or regulatory issues.

Requirements include proficiency in data querying and manipulation using cloud-based SQL and NoSQL database technologies, and experience in visualisation tools such as Power BI and Tableau.

A strong understanding of statistical methods and data modelling techniques, with expertise in data science libraries and frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch, and strong command of programming languages such as Python or R are also required.

Excellent communication, business writing and presentation skills, including designing and facilitating workshops, are essential for this role.

KordaMentha offers a dynamic and growth-oriented environment where you can continue to develop your skills and expertise.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
