Job Description:

Reservations Supervisor Role:

  • Assist the Reservations Manager in coordinating the management of all reservations to maximize yield management.
  • Ensure efficient and effective inter-department interaction within the hotel at all levels.
  • Be fully conversant with the hotel reservation system – Opera Cloud.
  • Ensure in conjunction with front office and accounts the AR setup and charge back authorities follow hotel credit procedures.
  • Maximize average rate and occupancy while ensuring that commissions are actioned correctly.
  • Guaranteed bookings and cancellation fees should be charged where appropriate.
  • Consistently deliver products and services that meet the quality standards and expectations of guests.
  • Complete any ad hoc tasks as requested by the Reservations Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Maximize efficiency of reservations team.
  • Interdepartmental collaboration: Strong communication skills to work effectively across departments.
  • Attention to detail: Ensure accurate setup of AR and charge-back processes while adhering to credit procedures.
  • Analytical skills: Monitor and correctly process commissions, guaranteed bookings, and cancellation fees.
  • Customer service skills: Deliver high-quality service that meets guest expectations.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to complete ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Problem-solving skills: Address challenges in a timely and effective manner.
  • Organizational skills: Manage tasks efficiently to support smooth hotel operations.

  • Knowledge of Reservation Systems: Proficiency in Opera Cloud or similar systems.
