We are currently seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architecture Lead to drive the modernisation of our core systems from a legacy monolithic architecture to a cutting-edge cloud-based platform primarily utilising Amazon Web Services (AWS).

This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and in-depth knowledge of modern software engineering practices. In collaboration with the Head of Engineering, the Cloud Architecture Lead will be accountable for setting the technical and architectural direction, elevating engineering standards, and ensuring a seamless transition to a more secure, scalable, efficient, and agile technology stack.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead large-scale modernisation/migration projects with a proven track record.
  • Drive innovation and experimentation across the Product Engineering organisation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-native architectures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering with extensive experience in AWS cloud services and ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of modern architecture patterns, such as cloud-native, microservices, serverless computing, and containerisation.
  • Proficiency in a range of programming languages and technologies relevant to cloud-based development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
