Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Platform Architect to lead our core systems modernisation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in transforming our legacy architecture into a cloud-based platform using Amazon Web Services (AWS).

This challenging role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of modern software engineering practices. In collaboration with our Head of Engineering, you will be accountable for setting the technical direction, elevating engineering standards, and ensuring a seamless transition to a secure, scalable, efficient, and agile technology stack.

You will be a key player in driving innovation and experimentation across our Product Engineering organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage your experience in large-scale migration projects to drive technical excellence and best practices in our engineering team.
  • Design and implement modern cloud-native architecture patterns, including microservices, serverless computing, and containerisation.
  • Lead the adoption of AWS cloud services and ecosystem to enhance our technology stack.
  • Mentor and collaborate with engineers to elevate their skills and knowledge in cloud-based development.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and execution at an enterprise level.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
  • Extensive experience with AWS cloud services and ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of modern architecture patterns and cloud-native technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
