About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Governance Manager to join our team at Dental Corporation. As a key member of our Contract Management and Governance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical governance across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Incident Management: Ensure all incidents are reported and managed, and that any agreed corrective actions are completed by the responsible person(s) within the designated timeframe.
  • Progress Tracking: Work closely with the Head Dentist to track progress and provide updates on any changes to priorities or strategy.
  • Contractual Documentation: Responsibility for all Clinical Governance contractual documentation and managing all clinical internal reporting obligations.
  • Audit and Compliance: Coordination and overseeing agreed audit and compliance monitoring activities from internal and external parties and assisting practices to complete any agreed required actions within the designated agreed time frames.
  • Internal Controls and Risk Management: Managing all BDC Clinical Governance Internal Controls and Risk Management Assessment (ICRMA) requirements.
  • Corrective Action Programs: Monitoring, in conjunction with the Head Dentist, the effectiveness of corrective/preventive action programs.
  • Credentialing: Managing initial and ongoing credentialing activities involving Bupa contracted health practitioners including AHPRA PIE and manage Credentialing audits in line with the BDC Quality Management Plan.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Building and maintaining strong relationships with all key stakeholders, with a focus on supporting the safe operation of the Bupa Dental clinical and business models.
  • Regulatory and Legislative Awareness: Staying abreast of regulatory and legislative change within the dental and healthcare industries.

Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent and current AHPRA registration.
  • Postgraduate Qualification: Postgraduate qualification in health management, clinical governance, clinical quality assurance, quality improvement, clinical audit, or related discipline highly regarded.
  • Clinical Governance Experience: A high level of clinical control management experience, along with a proven background in governance and quality assurance.
  • Leadership Experience: Leadership and people management experience with demonstrable record of driving engagement and performance, ideally with a geographically dispersed team.
  • Communication Skills: Skilled in the ability to influence, negotiate, convince, and persuade through highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: A high standard of written and presentation skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Report Writing: Experience of report writing for submission at senior/board level.
