
Technical Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Software and Hardware Support Specialist to provide technical assistance for software and hardware across various systems. The role involves remote support, diagnostics, field repairs, preventative maintenance, performance testing, and electrical safety testing of medical equipment.
The successful candidate must be flexible and willing to travel interstate as needed for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose system errors and resolve customer issues promptly.
- Maintain current software levels on equipment.
- Achieve product repair turnaround goals.
- Provide technical sales support during the implementation process.
- Perform routine and breakdown maintenance as required.
- Plan and schedule Preventative Maintenance visits and breakdown visits according to customer requirements.
- Monitor cases between Service Desk and customer for assigned sites. Escalate and manage as required.
- Retrieve technical information from devices and servers to assist with support cases.
- Use established tools to ensure all devices are updated with the latest Antivirus files and Microsoft Security Patches.
- Advise and maintain cooperative working relationships with Account Managers, Product Managers, Project Managers, and contractors.
- Evaluate and escalate potential issues, customer complaints, or tasks requiring special skills or resources.
- Identify potential sales/contract opportunities and communicate appropriately.
- Document all work (accurate and up-to-date) carried out in relation to repairs, preventative maintenance, calibration, performance, and electrical safety testing.
