The Centre plays a vital role in achieving ECU's vision by implementing innovative teaching and learning strategies. With its base at the Joondalup Campus, the CLT provides comprehensive services and programs.

About the Role

We are seeking a Learning Designer who will work collaboratively with academic staff to create quality, engaging, and fit-for-purpose learning experiences using various strategies and technologies.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in applying effective curriculum and learning design principles and strategies for consistent quality in a higher education setting.

In this role, you will work closely with a team of Senior Learning Designers, Advisers, and Learning Technology Support Officers to ensure quality learning experiences are designed and implemented across all Schools and Teaching Areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support academic staff in curriculum design, assessment, and activity design
  • Develop engaging content and use technologies for blended and online learning
  • Apply learning design principles and evidence-based approaches to improve learning outcomes
  • Liaise with professional staff to transform curriculum and practice with high-quality, innovative approaches
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree or higher qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Learning Sciences, Education, Instructional Design) or demonstrated equivalence
  • Proven ability to work positively and effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and lifelong learning
  • Ability to apply learning design principles and evidence-based approaches to improve learning outcomes
Benefits and Remuneration

This full-time, fixed-term position attracts a salary range of $97,113 to $108,813 per annum (HEW 7) plus a 17% superannuation contribution.
