Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Learning Designer to join the Centre for Learning and Teaching at Edith Cowan University. This full-time, fixed-term position offers a competitive salary of $111,152 - $125,191, reflecting the importance of this role in shaping the university's academic programs.

The Role

As a Senior Learning Designer, you will contribute to a collaborative team environment, providing expert advice and guidance to academic staff on curriculum transformation, assessment, and teaching strategies. Your extensive knowledge and experience in effective learning design principles and project management will enable you to support the development of high-quality educational experiences for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support academic staff in designing and implementing innovative, engaging, and effective learning solutions;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum transformation initiatives;
  • Provide expert guidance on learning design, assessment, and technology-enhanced learning;
  • Maintain strong relationships with academic and professional staff to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Master's degree or higher qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Learning Sciences, Education, Instructional Design);
  • Experience in applying evidence-based approaches to improve learning outcomes and support active learning;
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, collaboration, and communication skills;
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and pedagogical approaches;
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and levels.
