Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Technology Specialist to join our team at Edith Cowan University. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions that enhance the learning experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide technical support and guidance to academic staff on the effective use of learning technologies, including Canvas, Turnitin, Panopto, and MS Teams. They will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop training programs and resources that promote the adoption of emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to academic staff, responding to queries and resolving technical issues in a timely and professional manner;
  • Develop and deliver training programs and resources to promote the effective use of learning technologies;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our services;
  • Stay up-to-date with new and emerging technologies, making recommendations for their adoption and integration into our systems;
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience;
  • Highly developed technical skills, including expertise in learning management systems, multimedia tools, and software applications;
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with academic staff and other stakeholders;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.

Benefits

This full-time position attracts a remuneration of $78,854 to $87,624 (HEW 5) per annum, plus 17% superannuation contribution.
