About the Role

Microsoft is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its Asia-based competition and market regulation efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of regional laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on competition law risk management to Microsoft's Asia business, leveraging relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to mitigate regulatory investigations.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with regulators, academics, legislators, economists, and other key stakeholders through regular outreach and engagement activities.
  • Lead regional coordination of regulatory submissions and engage with Microsoft teams across Asia to ensure effective advocacy for Microsoft's interests.
  • Contribute to regional and global thought leadership on competition and market regulation developments, sharing insights and expertise to drive impact and inform business decisions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with outside counsel and other external resources to leverage technical expertise and local regulatory knowledge.
About the Team

The Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) team at Microsoft is responsible for ensuring compliance with global competition laws and regulations. This role will be a critical part of the team's efforts in Asia, working closely with regional leaders and subject matter experts to drive results and achieve Microsoft's goals.

Location and Travel Requirements

This role can be based in Singapore or other locations within the region, including Sydney or Tokyo. Regular travel across Asia may be required to support work across the region.

Salary Information

We offer a highly competitive salary of approximately $120,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
