The purpose of this role is to become a subject matter expert on workplace injury management practices to support Claims Specialists in developing effective return to work, return to live, and recovery strategies.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in the Tweed Heads office, with flexibility to work from home.

Your Responsibilities

  • Work directly with claims specialists as part of a team to deliver the icare customer experience.
  • Encourage proactive and open communication with key stakeholders during decision-making processes.
  • Provide regular advice and feedback to Claims Specialists and Team Leaders on adverse decisions relating to injury management.
  • Report to the Injury Management community and contribute to practice and professional development initiatives.
  • Promote and provide injury management support to claims teams within agreed timeframes.

About You

  • A background in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, or Exercise Science) is advantageous.
  • Excellent understanding of the Workers Compensation Act 1987 (NSW) and the Workplace Injury Management & Workers Compensation Act 1998 (NSW).
  • Demonstrated experience in Injury Management, particularly high-risk significant injury claims.
  • Ability and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology.
