The Opportunity

This role is a critical part of our Claims team, responsible for developing and implementing effective return-to-work and recovery strategies for our clients. You will work closely with Claims Specialists to identify and address workplace injury management needs, providing proactive and open communication with key stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with claims specialists to deliver high-quality customer experiences, ensuring timely and effective management of workplace injuries.
  • Advise and feedback claims specialists and team leaders on injury management decisions, including treatment, services, and medication.
  • Contribute to practice and professional development initiatives within the injury management community, promoting best practices and continuous learning.
  • Provide injury management support to claims teams, working within agreed timeframes and priorities.

About You

  • A background in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, or Exercise Science) is highly desirable.
  • You possess an excellent understanding of the Workers Compensation Act 1987 (NSW) and the Workplace Injury Management & Workers Compensation Act 1998 (NSW).
  • Proven experience in injury management, particularly high-risk significant injury claims.
  • Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Excellent understanding of medical terminology.
